Guest Ditch_Shitter
Ordered it from Target Sports in uk, because the ignorant b*stards who run the originating site couldn't even be arsed to answer my enquirie about wether they accepted Pay Pal. I then went to another us site and they Did accept Pay Pal. But, on registering and ordering ~ necessary just to discover the postage! ~ it turned out they wanted $20+ for the thing and then closer to $30 to send what ammounts to a f*cking envelope! Cancelled That! Target Sports, obviously aware of all this, rushed me about forty quid for the bugger. Off the shelf in their shop it'd still cost ye about thirty seven quid. Ye ballsed. Ye just can't buy one for the tenner or so usa asks! I bit the financial bullet and shall, doubtless, soon have forgotten about the cost. Was it worth it? Here's the story so far: Ordered late Friday. Arrived in Eire on Thursday. Yesterday I found time to attempt to fit it. 'Fitted in x minutes' proclaims the makers site (E-Z Pull dot com). Oh, really?! Well, first of all ye need a 'Watch Makers Screwdriver'. I had to buy a small set of those. Another 8 euro's on the bill. But I was determined to get it right. It comes in two parts. Little plastic block and 'trigger'. First thing was that my NEF Handirifle trigger guard was too wide to accept the block! Out with the Dremmel! Guess what? That trigger guard's only made of f*cking plastic!!! Never mind. Made wearing the sides down a doddle and then I got on with fitting the grub screws. That bit was no drama. Getting the miniscule regular screws to meet their holes in the trigger assembly was! 'Minutes'? Yeah! About fifteen all told! And I was stone cold sober and perfectly relaxed at the time! Be Prepared To Fiddle! All done - though one grub screw I managed to over tighten and it's now poking through at a stupid angle, but still seems to be holding. It's probably ripped the plastic thread out too - I figured it looked about as it should be and cocked my rifle. I then inserted my index finger, right hand, through the guard and found the " Trigger ". Curious and somewhat sceptical, I Touched the trigger and that's All she f*cking wrote!!!!!! So, inside about fifteen minutes of intensely concentrating fiddling and about fifty quid later, I've gone from a rifle that made my wrist tendons knot as I strained to make it fire, to a gun so sweet I could fire that bitch by simply Thinking Hard about making her go off! Just how I like my triggers! Scary 'Hair'! Anyway, f*ck you lot. I'm off out for a wander with her! Reports are that cubs are being seen in broad daylight all over the place. Taxi I was in chased one down the road only last week! 17:40 in the afternoon! I've taken the moderator off and slung that. It's f*cked and I'll just have to buy a new one. For now though, I reckon she'll shoot straight and, if I run into anything out there in the next hour? Sod the noise! Quote Link to post

Guest The Big Fish
Ditch, was there no adjustment screw of setting the weight of the trigger pull? Feck me, my 20+ year old air rifle has that basic function. Quote Link to post
Guest Macnas
Seems a nifty little item doesn't it? Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
Sorry, lads. I was away for a couple of days there. I spent a night cribbing urls to posts I wanted to answer. Now I'm working my way through them and catching up. Gdubya; I really have no way of ascertaining the exact pull weight on my NEF, before or since. But I will say that around six pounds seems to be the most bandied probable pull on the damn thing. What ever it was, it made the gun impossible to fire with out using a hard, crunching jerk which still made her fire later than my mind wanted her to. Now, with the E-Z Pull fitted? Well, let's just say I wouldn't like her pointing at me if someone tried to balance the weight of my Zippo lighter on that trigger! I can perfectly comfortably press my finger against my own eyeball with far greater pressure than it now takes to make this beauty fire! TBF; No, mate. My Lightning had one of those screws. I thought the NEF would've had too. But no, it was looking at Major and tedious (thus highly specialised and drasticly expensive!) internal work on the inner mechanism. Then BRYAN, on here tapped me on the shoulder and nodded towards this little gadget. Now I only have to glance out the window and I'm itching to get back out there with her! It's truly made my 'nightmare rifle from hell' into one sweet dream! Quote Link to post

bullmastiff 615
Sorry to say it Ditch as I know it's to late but the Yank site that was charging you $46 (inc p&p) was still a lot cheaper at £22 (33 EURO) than the UK company you bought it from! The Pound is really strong at the moment against the Dollar so get your US gear in now! (Once you collect the money owed you ) Well done sticking to your old rifle! most would of called it quits by now!!! Good luck with the cubs! Luke Quote Link to post
