god no, dont do it ffs :D strip it, time consuming but worth it, trim if needed but dont shave it, ya will embarrass the dog and yourself lol, no seriously it does not have good results, atb

Hes a fluffy lad and suffers real bad in the heat i would never cut it to short and been doing it for years he's 6 now,and as for looks it just looks like he has shorter hair i may have grade number wrong they are in shed and not going in there again today :tongue2:

lol its winter so dont shave him now joe, no offence meant but have ya ever seen a shave gone wrong on a terrier? lol i felt so sorry for it, it looked embarrassed other dogs took piss out of it, like ratpack says get the grade right n your sorted but i still think stripping better, gets all dead fluffy shit out that makes em sweat up but still keeps rough on for bit of protection

Hand strip it mate as if shaved the older coat goes linty and not as protective as the coat wont get a chance to shed as such so the new hair growth wouldnt be alot of cop, when you hand strip twice a year coat comes back thicker and healthier do mine autumn time and spring and everything seems to be ok for them and me
