OFFICIALLY THE BEST FERRETING SPADE!

went out for an hour this morning with rm2508 (ross). first set and the ferret dragged the net into the burrow. it was very far in with the drawcord still outside. we pulled at it and couldnt get it loose.

 

 

so time to dig it out. we had left my big spade in the car as ross had said he had just purchased a new folding spade that would be fine.

 

so into his bag he goes and pulls out this fecking spatula! wtf.

 

'oh it will be fine' he said

 

so he puts it onto the ground and gave it a LITTLE push. the bloody thing bent in half like a piece of cardboard

 

 

 

so we had one more go at pulling it out and with some effort and a ripped net it came out. dont like leaving nets out

 

the next set was a dig so ross went all the way down a big fecking hill to the car to get the spade.

 

enjoyable day all the same and a few hours out to start the new year

I thought it would be just the job for chipping away a wee half foot or so and for 4 quid I thought it may save lugging your effort about, and I wasn't for digging at all after a night on the lash, but after watching you "cone" your way down, well needs must! Hopefully wind picks up for tonight, do better lamping than we did ferreting.

the fooking hole thing snapped on mine 2 weeks ago, exactly the same,, folding shovel, just a differnt one, theyr shite, lol, im having to carry an heavy big old shovel around with me now, apart from a bulldog spade, can someone advise a good light wieght shovel to use/carry cheers atb fts

if we see a rabbit we will have been more successful than we did ferreting

 

lamps on charge. just need to give the dog her stretches, 50 high jumps, a muscle rub and were sorted!
