Decoy patterns

Hi all, haven't done that much decoying for pigeons and was just wandering what sort of patterns people are using. Any tips would be much appreciated. Dan

well I can never get the horse shoe patterns and stuff to work so I just whack out two rough blobs 15 yards apart 25 yards from the hide.

tbh mate its one of those questions where you ask 10 different people and get a different answer every time

Any letter will probably work just leave enough space between your decoys for incoming birds to try to land

Having also looked up as many answers as I can , I can also say there is no set way to do it. It seems to be alot like fishing where something that works in one lake might be completely useless in the other. Switch that for fields though

Everyone has the best decoy patterns that work for themselves, you just need to find one that works for yourself. It's literally trial and error my friend.

like everyone i have a favoured pattern that works for me , the one thing i suggest is you dont over stock your pattern i start with 13 full body decoys and add a few birds when i send my spaniel for a retrive. hope this helps
