wash them out with a saline solution after he's been working to flush out any foreign objects that may be in there, go to ebay, type in dog antibiotics, a site out in turkey will come up selling terramycin eye cream in tubes, get a few for your first aid kit, they are cheap as chips and are the genuine article, they also cleared up a ear infection a mates dog had as well, always handy to have in the first aid box, hope this helps.
