Polkey 70
Probably better than bacon mate which tends to be full of salt even after its cooked.
robwelsh 354
f**k cooked, anything raw, even bone. try to knock dried on the head, if you can. iv had to go back to dried, tripe and raw, as my local butchers bummed me off...yet to find another butcher s of yet. even though my bitch i liking the diet of dried minced beef, corned beef, sardines, tuna and tripe etc...its costing lol and having to add bone meal too...where as the butchers stuuf id pick up every week, fill my freezer, an the next week would over lap the last remaining etc...sometimes id have to pay a pound for a bag if i was lucky...one or two full bag of feet kneck ,fat. and about 30 plus carcuss a week, with few wings lol...i always offered cash, but at the end of it, the tracks complained about it, so that was that
robwelsh 354
and if i wa you, give your dog a break off a certain meat. mix it up a little. dogs are animals, although iv fed mine pasta, with meat etc to get the weight back on her, its not nessary for carbs etc..BARF is the best. animal fat, protein, fiber, calcium etc. i give my dog 5-6 scrammbled eggs, 2 slices of my brown bread in the morn, then feed meat and dried at afternooon lol
Taz-n-Lily 62
Salt is not good in a dog's diet - it's in both bacon and corned beef.

MikeyMJL 128
I get bags of minced chicken carcasses from a meat whole seller and pet mince from a local butcher which is made of beef off cuts. I also buy large chickens from aldis and cut them into 6 pieces and I feed him the occasional spare rib. Any veg table scraps and a bit of pasta and mashed potato, egg, mackerel, liver and heart. What I do is give him 3% of his weight per day. So for an 18.5 kg staff he gets 525g of meat and bone a day. Weigh the chicken first, then make up the weight with mince, egg, tinned mackerel, bit of liver etc. easy peasy!
neilsherlock 226
pork is fine when from human sourced food. it's only due to a disease that could be passed through pork when times were less stringent, much like the worries with beef and BSE. I feed pork and beef mince, no worries and pigs heads and trotters, cheap from the butchers if not fre Edited January 4, 2013 by neilsherlock
