its been in the microwave how long would you say in the microwave?

I usually do for about 40 secs about 5-6 times allowing to cool between each run

 

Or you can weigh it then put in microwave weigh it again and so on until it looses no more weight

It'll need a lot more than a week in the airing cupboard to dry anywhere near properly.

I know, you dried it in the microwave. I was merely saying that the piece of advice with regards to drying it in the airing cupboard was very optimistic.

When drying them in the microwave you are ultimately wanting to dry them until no moisture comes out. The problem with doing this is you can kill your microwave, that's coming from experience.
