jam1e 12
By chance i came accross a Xenon hid conversion for the Stryker 170 and wondered if anyone out there is using one? I'm tempted to convert my lamp but as the Youtube member shows the end result using a pair on some type of farm machinery i didn't get a true idea of how well it worked as one light and if it would be worth the investment. It appear to be an easy conversion. Incase anyones interested the links are below. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Edited December 29, 2012 by jam1e Quote Link to post

CROSSY 666 1
Hi mate, I made my own and it was not that good in my option. What I could see was very good but not very far and I could not put the beam into a tight enough spot. Quote Link to post
JohnGalway 1,043
http://www.thehuntin...ion-lightforce/ Only been out with it one night, so far so good, been bloody raining every other night. Well two nights if you count last night, which I don't because I couldn't see 40 yards with the fog. Got mine off Ebay from a guy in Australia. Lots of info to be had on CandlePowerForums. jam1e 12
Thanks for the replies fellas. The person who made the youtube links does make mention, (somewhere) of not going below 75 watts and making sure what you pay for is definately 75 watts as some are sold as 75 watts, but are much lower.... I've not had time to get around to it yet as concentrating on my reloading data. Slow but getting better....... Quote Link to post
Gloop 5
I have used xenon for diving. Where the angle is very narrow for penetration. Very good light. Think the beam was about 6.5 degrees. However I believe that xenon is not good at being switched on and off and is better used constantly on which is not so good for hunters (somebody correct me if I'm wrong). Personally I think led is the way to go as there have been some great advances and some cracking torches came out over the last year. Quote Link to post
JohnGalway 1,043
I wouldn't be so sure of that 75W line. The HID I have is 30w, farthest fox I've shot with it so far was 180. There are a lot of 35w and 55w HID's on the go as well. I keep my HID on, but I kept all my other lights on as well, so makes no odds to me. Quote Link to post
