ivy removal

Recommended Posts

if you look at the end of the kennells you can see ivy growing from the house behind.the occupant is an elderly gent and a sound skin. Now Im hopeing I can do something to kill off the ivy and the other gent doesnt mind so is there a way of sorting out this problem?Ive cut it way back numerous times but it grows back in no time so want something more permanent.I dont want to be bothering the chap as hes old and dont want to be makeing it look like im complaining so anything that can be discreetly done to kill this nuisance plant.

Had ivy by my workshop, and my lad spilled 2lts of thinners by mistake as it was on wall and he knocked it and it leaked onto the roots,it killed everything i don't think this is good or a great idea but if you can get something safer for wildlife then it can be killed. But i have no more problems with it creeping up walls its dead gone history well you get the pic.

f*****g hate the stuff.......... :censored: im afraid no matter what you do, unless you rip it all out you will never stop it, if you cut it back and spray glyphosate on the new growth, that will help slow it down............
