Thinking about it tho on the flip side a lot of shoots/farms used to shoot hares to keep dog men off, I wonder if the ban did anything to change that??? 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Most hare shoots are only carried out on the Saturdays in February. It's basically a wind down after the shooting season for the beaters, keepers, farmers and few game shots that don't want the season to end. It's a job that arguably needs doing and is one of the perks for those that enjoy that sort of thing. Often the money from the game dealers is donated to a local charity and the day may be finished with a pigeon roost shoot. Not my thing but let's get the facts right eh.
