But I'm not a supporter in the true sens of the word ,I realise that, I don't go week in week out, and buy a shirt every year, they're the team I follow and I was pleased when they beat Exeter City in the FA cup, it was the first time I tried to get a ticket for a game up Exeter since I watched Chealsea there when Vialli was manager lol.... 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Guess I can't argue if you been going a lot longer than I've been alive lol Would you say Liverpool and united would be better off without global support even tho they had to be successful to get that support??? If Liverpool have a bigger fanbase than west ham it's not doing much good at the minute!!! Again genuine questions...... I never realised he said that wilf, even you wouldn't say that lol I dont blame him for saying that he was treated appallingly by the club as were his whole family...............its a subject that divides a lot of fans.....theres a lot of boo boys who detest him and wouldnt have him back........me id have him back tomorrow 10 - 15 goals a year from midfield.....you bet id have him back. When Frank was a 17 year old he went through a bad spell of form,some fans said he was only in the team because Harry was manager.......he then broke his leg in a game and a certain few of our fans cheered.......he never forgave that hence his comment about scoring the goal that relegated us. I never boo ex players ....good players will want to move on to bigger clubs i dont have a problem with that.........some leave on great terms and recieve a great welcome when they come back Tevez/Joe Cole etc...............some leave on bad terms and get hatred Lampard/Ince etc..................same at any club we,re no different........but personally i,ll never boo a player raised in this area and id welcome Frank Lampard back with open arms...........but he wont come anyway so neither here nor there really Quote Link to post Share on other sites

That club gave him his platform as it has many other top players, he may not have got the chance to play for the Chelsea's of this world without that club, a club paid for by the fans, money that helped him take his talent and ability and get where he is.......to put the medals on his wall. No matter what a certain section of fans say or do, you don't kick the many good fans ( like yourself Gnash) in the teeth like that, it just ain't done. As I said, just my opinion.
