Elmer_Fudd 28
The charger port on the AA THE MALE PART is speaking from the ball bearing at the end? filled it to 180 come to take the hose off n the leak was there. I'm currently just packing up before I have even started ... Any ideas? I use a dive tank but not one % to when the filters were changed in the compressor that is at my work, its purpose for filling with clean dry air for paintball tanks, before im shouted at. But they don't always clean the filter could it be shit in the air as its a fairly big leak Can I strip it down when its empty and service this part at all? ATB GAZ :-D Quote Link to post

Buster321c 1,010
Thought it had been serviced ? And what are you filling it with ?? Quote Link to post
Tron 173
Ime afraid not Elmer, the early male type fill valve cant be stripped and cleaned like the later type. If it dosent clear the problem as Buster has said with a blast then all you can do is replace it with a new one (Costs about £9.00) if I remember right or change both male and female parts to the later specs, the male part has a proper filtration filter that stops that problem Edited December 28, 2012 by Tron Quote Link to post

Elmer_Fudd 28
Yeah guess that's Christmas money gone haha. Unless you can help buster:-D. tron, Are the newer fill fittings better then? ... Quote Link to post
Tron 173
The latest type AA filling valves have a excellent filtration system that should pretty well garantee no further foreign matter getting on to the fill valve seat or the firing valve as well. The early type has no such filter built in and to make matters worse is held together by a unusual spring clip such is the tiny place to get at it means if you can get it off it gets destroyed doing so.and you cant get a clip to suit.! If you are really stuck I have a discarded one that holds pressure for a couple of days and you are wellcome to have it and a new bonded sealing washer as well. pm me your address and I will send them in the post. it is a simple job to fit. Cheers, Tron. . Quote Link to post

jackinbox99 41
I had exactly the same problem on my s410 after switching from years of using a pump to using a bottle. Its a common problem with the old school male connectors. I tried to find a replacement one, but all the ones I found were slightly different to the one I had, so I went out and bought a complete quick fit connector kit from best fittings and fitted that instead. Problem solved! If you still need a new male connector though should it start leaking again, let me know, ive a brand new one I bought and dont need now. Quote Link to post
