hw 90 gas ram

Been offered a gas ram hw 90 second hand for 200 quid, is this a good deal or should I leave it? Any ideas?

i would say buy it i had 1 it was a heavy gun but very good and accurate.the gas ram system is a little quiter than a springer and doesent lose power like a springer.i use to walk the hedgerows for hours with the gun cocked.i didnt like keeping my springers cocked for long periods of time.and weihrauch quality is second to none.

Thanks for the reply mate currently using a webley excel which I have found is quite a handy gun, 1 of my mates is getting rid of his hw and I like the sounds of it but a few people have said they are fairly heavy, cheers

Basically this is a Theorauch! Theoben powerplant, HW barrel, trigger and stock! Servicing of the ram is no problem despite the demise of Theoben!

I have a HW90 in .22 - Interesting Rifle

 

Kept as a spare these day's should I run out of Air for precharge Rifles

 

Understand mine was one of early ones

 

They are adjustable - with pump - but be aware they are not designed for higher power

than Sub 12.FP - Parts break and when fixed - and chronoed Gunsmith can see it was set over - Op's

brilliant guns, will make your webley seem like a feather weight.the hw90 is a lump of a gun, i loved mine.

triggers are very good, and the weight cuts down the recoil.

i couldnt get mine to shoot over the limit, so it was always safe to shoot.

had one myself pumped the power upto 18ftlb

with a diy fitting attached to a bicycle shock pump:)

 

i did a over view of it on YouTube a few years ago its still there.

 

brilliant air rifle i must say but yeah very heavy so i put a 1 point sling on it and looped it over my head, saved the shoulders on the long days out.
