My rescue lurcher: bull cross?

Apologies if some of this ground has been covered before in other threads but I can't see a lot of the photos, which is driving me nuts!

This is my new dog which I believe is greyhound/bull to some degree but he looks quite different to some on here so I just wonder if anyone has an idea, or if there are any similar about? I'd love to see more pictures...

Lidl, £2.99... my nice bridle leather one has been purloined by the Staffie bitch in the background of the last pic who is, of course, a style queen...

 

I promise I will get him a decent one this weekend. It's too rabbitty around where those pics were taken to let him run loose at the moment.

I have just recently rescued a dog. He is a Lurcher and there have been some suggestions that he maybe crossed with a bull to what do you think?

 

I was thinking of getting one of those DNA tests for him to tell me what he is crossed with etc. or is that just a really silly thing to do?

DNA tests cannot determine the breeds of dog in a dog, just who the father and mother are, so you would need to know them, so therefore you would know his parentage

It can be frustrating not knowing the breeding but unless you are breeding its not really important.

Nice looking dog whatever he is.

thanks for the reply, i just read up on it and your right - silly me!!

 

It was only curious so see what he was crossed with but as per the reply by ferret15, the photo on there looks exactly like my dog, its like a mirror image.
