I dint say he can't I said I wouldn't! Mine bushes as good as I've seen but she's not working to flush to lurchers she's working to catch anything and everything herself she hunts! If your out bushing for a few rabbits to the Lurcher and they put something else up and disappear for a hour or drop to ground as they are a terrier it's no fun! A beddy whippet will catch a lot more and can lamp! A spaniel x will bush hard and work close and work as a team and stop when told!

the terrier dropping to ground is not a problem cause we don't have anything for them to go to ground on did look at a spaniel cross but just didn't fancy one not my type of dog

Mine is fine when close but on scent on anything bigger than a rabbit and not close she will be gone, wouldn't take her ferreting as lurchers a lot more useful for bolters etc]

i had lurchers since 1984 the last 1 died nearly 3 years ago and has not been replaced as yet. unfortunatly i can only use a terrier on my ferreting permission and its all in woodland and scrub shit land really. but he does the job well marks well. gets to the nets and holds the rabbit without damage. the land i work the dog on would not really be suited to bolting without nets. so he does the job well i require from him. a terrier can have uses ferreting on the right sort of land.i know the route you are going down with your bitch and i wish you success.

Nice looking dog joe how tall was it

18 inch, best rabbiting dog and feather I have ever owned, she was well known, as a few seen her work, and were always impressed.

You very rarely returned empty handed with this Bitch.

Always thought she looked liked a cross between a brush and a broom.

Only entered her once in a working show in her class she came last.
