B.P.R 2,798
right, yesterday putting my lads go kart together i was buzzing thinking about getting my lad out in the street with all the kids for his first christmas in our new family home. i thought there would be loads of kids out in the street on their new bikes, go karts, scooters or with their new remote controll cars and prams. but not a single kid out i took my lad out on his go kart round the streets and still didnt see a soul. now this surprised me as 99% of the houses round here have at least 1 child, most have 2 or 3 even more. when i was younger i was out at 8am tearing about on whatever i had got from santa and the streets were packed with kids showing off their new toys and parents pushing them around. thats what made it for me. i wonder why the streets were so empty? my wife text the neighbours and all their kids were inside on their new computers, ipads, phones. even the really young toddlers had got them leapfrogs (childrens version of an ipad or similar) my lad got all outdoor stuff, scooter, quad, go kart etc now this is shocking, all the kids shut up inside their rooms getting bog eyed on their computers instead of being outside playing and enjoying christmas day. really shocked me this and shows how much times have changed im the past 10 years or so. 6 year olds with ipads and xboxes! made me more determined to bring my lad up loving the outdoors and a bit of fresh air! Kay 3,709
Kids spend to much time playing on one electronic game or other , but to be fair , would you want your kids playing on parks where theres used syringes & empty cider bottles knocking about , idiot drivers , full of drugs & drink... pedophiles just waiting for there next victim .. the worlds full of bad things .. I guess for any parent with kids under the age of 15 you have dilemma's as to how much freedom you give them sadly a lot of parents dont do anything with there kids either, its easier to spend 5oo quid on some games console & dozons of games than go out with them & kick a ball about or go a bike ride

SNAP SHOT 194
i remember being out in all weather, and summer holidays were spent building huts to camp out in, or fishing, the only time mum would really see us was when our bellies where empty...hehe This then lead to a love of everything outdoors, hunting, fishing, sailing, diving, mountainbiking, photography, looking back we were lucky to have the beach 1 min walk away, and mountains and hills and forests 10 mins walk.... show a kid something that will spark their imagination as to how to build something and bingo, the buzz is there, same as learning them to fish.. etc.. Snap.
