zini 1,939
Hi Club Shot, Unless im reading your post incorrectly buddy, your telling people that a .22 will not reset a target past 40 metres. Now im a big .22 caliber fan and I have to disagree with that statement after resetting many targets past 50 metres in fact while practicing with my springer mate. I did meet you down at the UK Springer championships and do respect you buddy but just dont agree with your post. What I will do is video a bit of proof footage showing this being done on a episode of VerminHuntersTV for you mate. Si. Quote Link to post
Acuspell 329
At long range a standard weight .22 is going to carry more retained energy than a standard weight .177 (standard beinng around the 14 - 15 mark for the .22 and 8 - 9 ish for .177, before some clever dick says there is no standard pellet weight - yes, there is!) I Concur with Si on .22 resetting targets past 40 yards In Fact My .25 Cal also resets the targets out to 50 yards no problem with the 19.91 gr H & N FTT retaining even more Energy than the .22 as witnessed by the club shooter's when the .25 smacks the target with a nice thwack atvb Daz 7.
