Main ingredients - Cereal, animal derivatives (mashed up lips and arseholes) and beet pulp (another cereal).

Feral dogs don't hang around bakeries or the local Kellogs factory as their intestinal tract isn't long enough to deal with cereals so they go in one end and out the other which means in Beta they are only really able to try and get their full nutrition from about 20% of the food. This in mind is enough to tell you why some people's dogs will try and eat their own waste - they are severly lacking in nurishment and probably starving.

Whatever your budget there is always a better food out there.

As for the parent company - Purina, how many vets have their products in the vetinary office? Why? They sponsor the vets. Why? You are more likely to follwo a vet's advice and if they advise these product s because they are either on commission or got their vet degree paid for them by the company then ther owner is more likely to buy them on trusted advice. What they actually do is rot your dog's teeth and cause all manner of stuff. Wasn't Purina the ones linked to liver cancer in cats? Anyway, the preservatives put in dry foods are there to kill bacteria and keep the food nice and yummy for many months whilst in storage in damp wharehouses or people's houses so what do they do when ingested? Kill all the digestive culutres in your dog which paves the way for delicious things like cancer cell growth and any bits of bacteria they ingest from their chew toys or stuff they find outside.

Whatever your budget there is a better food out there than this and you owe it to your companion to do they best by them.
