Boxing Day Hunts

Recommended Posts

 some folk take themselves way too serious. It's always the wannabes in all walks of life who get the most annoyed. Folk who have done it for years know what to expect. Anyhow, well done the mindless morons who showed support to their hunt :)

Whippet99, I like you pal but I'm gonna pick you up on a few points for the greater good  you talk about keyboard warriors not saying stuff to people's faces, I agree 100% but tell me, did you call all these great followers morons to their face? I think if you did you'd be going home with your quad secured firmly up your arse :) and then to follow up by challenging folk on the Internet..... See where I'm coming from? No secret agendas, just pointing out some wee things you might like to take onboard :) keep up the good work supporting your hunt pal and learn to chillax ;)

i dont understand ,.......there was no malice i just waited patiently but was quitely annoyed and was just making the point when some one in an earlier post said they wish they were on a quad and i was just high lighting that it made no difference for me getting around ........getting held up sometimes..........thats all ........

be honest i was fuming last night when people try and makeout that your something your not..............i shouldnt of thrown out challenges but i thought it was getting quite personal.........

there was a few things i quoted that was wrong but when your mad you just dont give a feck............what your writing .......you have to be so carefull on the net and stabba set me off trying to say that without those followers there would be no hunt or cause which is right ............but talk about blowing it out of proportion i was only saying i was held up by a few not using there head and then all the shite came out that i dont know what boxing day hunting is all about.............

i think i do my fair share of helping out the hunt and farmers ,.....im the kind of guy that if were watching the hounds and there is a blown up sheep on its back im usually the one who walks over to put it back on all fours.................im glad no one really knows me on here ....................

but to think im arrogant and havent got no thought on followers and fellow comrades is so far from the truth ............................

i respect everyone ,.........even the bull sh£ters...........thats just part of life

I'd like to thank everyone that attended up and down the country, for some it's the only day they get to look at the spectacle and yeah the roads get blocked up and there may not be the same amount of knowledge from foot/car followers but if their out following and their supporting then that's fine by me.

Whippet99 I don't want to sound picky but please don't use that f*****g awful word "HUNTMASTER" there is no such thing, it's something the media and antis have made up it boils my piss everytime I read it and the last place I would expect to see it used is by hunting people in the hounds section on here

Fair post mate, if you go with hounds regular then a few folk milling about shouldn't worry you too much......enjoy Boxing Day for what it is there's plenty of other days to go ( drag) hunting proper.

I would say to any potential followers that if you really want to feel up close and personal to the field then go with a fell pack ( take your oxygen mask) or one of the small local so called gun packs.......it's much more enjoyable than following a big mounted pack if your not on a horse or quad.

As I said in a previous post, I would support my mates packs but I can take it or leave it with my local packs as I don't really give a monkeys about them.......I know what a hound looks like! Lol

We had our meet today and had a feckin' great day out on the moor, same meet as you came to Leveller when you was up at my place. We had the grand total of.....five followers out today that did the distance, others drove around the roads for an hour, drank all their coffee then departed by 10am. No cap, no photos, we were on one. We came off at 3pm after a delay while the dragman soaked his rag again. I support all forms of hunting and anyones right to do it. I won't be told what I should do with my life and my time here, I'll do what pleases me and hunting ticks that box, always has! Enjoy it fellas

Whippet99, it's once a year when we get the chance to win a few people over !! Some of these people will go to every meet, some only on Boxing Day, it may be the first time for some, just to see what all the fuss is about !! Give them a bit slack, and the benefit of your knowledge.... we may need their votes some time in the future !!

Cheers.

It depends what you're wanting out of a days hunting, but as has already been said, getting out with a fell pack on a good bit with a few old veterans is hunting at it's purest!

And collaring somebody with a quad you only met that day for a lift off the fell is f*****g soul saving at the end of the day, lol.
