tubba 38
I'd have to agree with Brassneck on the dogs for jobs bit. Each breed of dog has been bred for a purpose the great thing about the lurcher is we can ad different breeds to work to our advantage. I myself love the mal they are such a powerful and high instinct animal. I have never owned a pure one, only my grey x mal x saluki. He has a great temperament, He's biddable great round the kids and a good all round worker. I can't see why you wouldn't want a dog with some drive and some brains put into a lurcher line. 1 Quote Link to post
woz 260
iv answered loads of pm's offering stud dogs and people wanting to buy the pups,im doing this because i want a pup myself the rest of the pups will be offered to a select few of steady calm handlers probably off the forum..after a few years of reading the threads theres a number of people that i think can give the pups the best start so we can see if its going to be worth a repeat mating..the bitch is a working patrol/protection dog and if anyone fancies coming and trying the bite suit on and evaluating her there welcome my 12 year old daughter can work her without any issues at all..the dog isnt teeth on a rope and is biddable and calm in the bite.. 6 Quote Link to post

woz 260
Iv seen great dogs put together and turn out a litter of rubbish and iv seen adverage dogs that are great producers of pups ....its a mine field really.....my bitch is great at her job and lacks nothing. Who knows if she will produce anything of any value..genetics are a nightmare. She bitch will be bred on her next season which is 6 months from now. Any dog that is used needs to be a proven producer.... Quote Link to post

Any breeding is a risk the first time, but it's the only way to find out.... 1 Quote Link to post
