Is there any set mount of holes to drill in the bottom of a 5 gallon drum to make a pheasant feeder....how many and what size drill to used..??

Use a jigsaw. I would get the springs first and get yerself a rough idea of the size plus you can get different sized springs.

tried using the spring in the feeders...found them to be a pain....always getting stretched...by roe.....ended up taping round the spring till about 1 inch of spring was left showing ..so the wheat wasn't coming out to easy...lol

alhoy have yoyu tried the "" v"" pan feeders bit like a tray the feed falls down onto it saves on waste feed too , i have not tried them me self but they look a good idea ,cheers rob

Hello i use spring's but also bore 11/12mm hole's all round the bottom of the drum as 1-5th of the wheat left round the side's of the feeder with the spring's.
