masterhunter 3
my granddad is 82 and it took a long time to explain that bread and milk are not what we feed ferrets any more because thats what he feed his ferrets on 40 years ago !!he now sees that the ferrets are much healthier on meat 40 years ago there wasn't the awareness of diet and the impact of it in ferrets or humans as there is to day why do you think there are so many fat kids now (because there parents were feed shit and haven't learned not to feed it to there kids ) your ferret wont die as it is getting carbs from the bread and calcium and fat from the milk ( but it wont be getting enougth) it wont be as healthy as one on meat its shit will look like soggy wheatabix and it probably has gum disease as it has nothing to chew to clean its teeth but i can see it was pointless me posting this as there is nothing wrong with what your doing its every one else who's wrong What makes it worse is his ferrets were fed bread & milk everyother day i assume the days off the crap he fed a nice bit of rabbit or you dont think its possible they got nowt to keep then skinny do you, no surely not QUOTE(Walsher @ Jul 5 2007, 03:40 PM) A half slice of bread and some milk every 2 days is what I feed it keeps them nice and thin and I Have caught 40 and 50 rabbits more than once with them When they kill they move on A HALF SLICE have you got jills or hobs did you breed them this year? if you did did any of the kits survive?? Ferrets are carnivors, so they should only be fed on meat.the odd fishand an egg now and again plenty of fresh water.you know why your ferrets leave there kills-they've gone looking for sandwiches!!!!! Guest Magwitch
A half slice of bread and some milk every day is what I feed it keeps them nice and thin and I Have caught 40 and 50 rabbits more than once with them When they kill they move on i also put an whipped up egg with some cod liver oil alot off the time.... How long do your ferrets live on average? Are thin ferrets better in some way? I doubt half a slice of bread soaked in milk fed every other day is even enough to maintain a ferrets body weight, so my guess is his ferrets die within the year , its not even enough to keep ya body & soul going is it. its pretty clearly a neglect case in my eyes, pityfull existence they live right now Ferretlove SHUT UP!! As you say your guessing!! Did I not just say i have a 9 year old ferret here fed on bred and milk all his life!! And ARTEMIS you dont have a clue so you shut up too AHH FERRETLOVE has fat pet ferrets i feed mine on carrots Quote Link to post

Simoman 110
i feed mine on carrots .. i find mine quite partial to asparagus with low fat lurpak melted on it.. Millet Millet, everybody knows that asparagus should be complemented with REAL butter, shame on you. Your ferrets will only take this mistreatment fopr so long and demand to go and live with walsher........ Quote Link to post
