whats going on??

to be honest there isnt as much game around me as usall. the normal hot spots havent had the rabbits this year at all. i have started looking further a field and have finally found a good spot or two.

 

my best spot up untill last week was one that had practically no rabbits there at the end of last season, and what was there had myxi. much to my suprise i had 38 rabbits of that spot first night and have taken a few decent bags there since. its odd how it was the least populated spot end of last season and has the most this season.

haha half a ton ! quarter ton would be a realy good day ! Where i live to get 50 rabbits would take many days/night out , on the lamp down here on a realy good night i might see 10 rabbits and if the dog gets half of them im delighted

its the same around me iv dropped over 40 rabbits back on this ground and i havnt seen one of them

Ive just spent a very wet morning up North on a hedgerow on a spot where I would have had at least 20..I bolted 3 today..Gonna leave that spot til next year.

 

its this wet weather all over the place..there moving about and getting harder to find. the cover is still too thick in some spots..Never right for this time of year.

iv been talking to a few peoplw about the lack of rabbits some people have said there finding liver damage when gutting and someone else as said that the midge that are giving sheep that blue tong may have summat to do with the lack of rabbits iv been to places and where i would see 10-15 on a field now your lucky to see 3

iv got bits of permission that are holding large numbers of rabbit but its all horse fields of 20/30 acres spread around the county..the fields near the boat are dead..weve had large numbers in previous years off this ground...im not taking 100 acres theres probably 2000..i dont recon its been poached as i still dont sleep at night and i wonder round with the pp dogs
