has anyone got any pics of brindle patterdales, i have heard they do exist but i have never seen one and if they are brindle where does this come from?.

well i just managed to fight for one about an hour since and when i say fight it was the last one and the guys phone was going mad.i was asking as i never see one before and the guy couldnt send me a pic so i just went anyway.

 

 

i think he is a cracking little pup and parents were clearly good working stock.

The game bit is the bull, but the dog has to back it up with heart. Terriers dont need bull, if they do, then theyre no good. This section just turnin into a bull x section like the lurcher area of thus site.

When I have been out with lads on digs the majority have had patterdale terriers, so I'm a bit confused why you are saying they don't need bull, I can understand if it was extra bull thrown in to the mix. Am I just being a little dim here, or misunderstood as the pup I have just bought has patterdale mother and father but two in the litter threw brindle. There is no extra bull involved. Both parents were clearly workers the guy showed me them both and they were clearly patterdales

Pedigrees often lie.....Bull may have been 3 generations back or more.

I saw a dog in spalding once that resembled a patterdale but was blue merle... I could only assume that it had either dachshund or collie in its ancestry... it was a little odd thats for sure

Some guys here in the states will "freshen" up their lines every 3 to 4 generations with some "bull blood". Don't matter the color as long as they work! Keep your head up and see how the pup works out. Nice looking pup at least in my opinion.

my bitch had one in a litter and couldnt get him out on her own-i was on my way home [bANNED TEXT] me mam called to say the bitch was starting-the poor little f****r was to big and didnt make it-gutted as he looked a lump of a pup both the dogs i bred from are broken coated and would throw the odd slape coated pup that looks real bully-that 1/4 bred one in the photo is a cracker atb
