reddawn 2,173
i promise i not trying to steal ye thread but has anybody ever crossed a beardiex to a coursin dog?? i had a border collie x grey put 1 an it was a crackin dog, i not saying beardiex's need anythinge else in them, just curios, i cant really comment on the beardiex's. except i had a dog big black racey things, looked like a grey, he was 1/4 collie an 3/4 grey, the collie in him come from hancocks yard i was told, an was a bit of beardie an a bit of border, but i couldnt use him as a yard stick, id a swore he was a border colliex Quote Link to post
beast 1,884
first cross beardie will be tough as old boots, good nose and feet and run all day and all night. can be a bit on the independent/wilful side and some can be a bit hyper as pups, but give it till 2 years old at least. you get out what you put in, not a dog to leave in kennels all week and run out on a sunday. 1 Quote Link to post
kps1979 1,308
sounds like my bitch now, she was like a big pup for what seemed ages, shes about 2year 2months now, and starting to look like she knows what she's doing! so im ok with slow maturing dogs, the pup is out of wilson, hancocks yound stud beardie, im a big fan of rough coated dogs and dogs with brains! zx12edge 1,001
My beardie half cross is three and a half year old now and took a couple of years to mature and have one who is about fifteen months old which is beardie grey x beardie grey and maturing a lot quicker than than the half cross. Most of the dogs i have had have been border crosses but I think if you drop on a descent beardie cross they make a smart tough capable hunting partner Quote Link to post
