The Hunting Life Forum Air Gun Section Springer Championships March 2013

Hi lads and lasses,

 

I've been thinking over the past week or so and would be interested to see who would be interested in a Hunting Life Forum Air Gun Section springer championships in March down at Old Down Pursuits?

 

I'm happy to sort this out hopefully with the help of Davy and Chaz.

 

Any member in the section can enter with their (sub 12 ft / lb only) springer to count in the comp or pcp for fun but not to count in the competition.

 

It will be held on a Sunday morning sometime in March 2013 (date to be posted when i get a feel of who would be interested).

 

The competition would be a 40 target competition as per the UK springer championships.

 

There will be a laddies and juniors class for .177 and .22 calibers, same for the adults with if wished a final 10 targets between the winners from each class to be crowned the overall section champion.

 

By having it in March it will hopefully be nicer weather so we could maybe have a bar be que after the shoot.

 

It will also give us all time to practice and try and get to a standard somewhere near Pianoman is at with his springers.

Elliott will be the man to watch I reckon. He's been putting in some fantastic shooting lately with his HW77.

I don't care so much about winning. It would be just great to meet fellow spring rifle shooters from the forum. Not that I'll be giving shots away!

not sure whether Sean @ Old downs pursuits would be up for this,as he would want 40+ shooters,or 2 shooters to a peg!

 

but lets see how the numbers grow,and if there is enough maybe we can hold it a Liddington?

I would like to come but only have a pcp now and not sure on how I stand in everyone's eye so if you don't mind me being there I'd be happy to make up the numbers might have a friend and me dad coming to

I will try to make this, dates depending and im sure gary kev and mike would come all pcps though, but i know kev is trying to sort his springer out so may be shooting it by then.

Put my name down provisionally please si, although I may have to bow out if it clashes with a course because it looks like I'll be a bushcraft/survival instructor again from feb.
