baw 4,360
If he was selling the dog for less or what he paid, would you still be annoyed? I appreciate you sold the pup at a reasonable price and you have to be congratulated on that. But, once the dogs sold its nothing to do with you. Same with people who say, if your selling the dog I want first refusal. Eh no, if you want the dog don't sell it. 5 Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
a 12 week old pup in its 3rd home in my opinion that is whats wrong But when you rear a litter and sell them as you did then they are in there second home soon as they leave you. You have to accept that people's circumstances change in 10-15 years and that dog could have 3/4/5 homes. Not ideal no. Not my thing either. I like to keep hold of my dogs. They aren't just tools. But to some they are. And as I said, people's situations change. If you can't handle the reality of that then you are better off not breeding fella. Or keep back what you and your mates want and cull the remainder. Personally I wouldn't want to be responsible for bringing 8-10 dogs into the world that could end up going to bell ends. So if, as and when I breed, there will only be as many as what I want and what my mates want I'm sure Accept that the world is full of wasters. You did your best by them for 8 weeks or whatever and leave it at that. Life is too short. Just my opinion. 4 Quote Link to post

Just my opinion. i said to people when i bred a litter this year of terriers for me mate ,................any problems let me know and i will take the dogs back and keep in contact with them ..........at least then you know the welfare of the dog and as most were sold as they were a mates i would give them a full refund............... only let people have dogs what are 100 % sound other wise a pup dont go and it looks to me mick that you didnt choose carefully........so dont come on here slagging a lad off as your the one who is at fault in the first place............ 2 Quote Link to post
skycat 6,174
Sadly, this sort of post comes up time and time again, and I've been stung by idiots too, despite doing everything I can to check out the potential buyer. Trouble is, when someone breeds a litter and they've all gone bar one or two, people are desperate to get rid of them. What I did, last time I had pups left over, was put them on Lurcherlink: that way Lurcherlink have already home checked people who are wanting a pup. It's not a guaranteed way, nothing is, and Lurcherlink sometimes get dogs coming back to them, but at least the dogs do, for the most part, go back to them if the person doesn't want them any more, rather than the dog being touted all over the place to every idiot there is. 1 Quote Link to post

DogMagic 461
Get a mate to ring to arrange to go buy the pup. He wont entertain you. But YOU turn up instead and put the c**t on sticks for the rest of his life 1 Quote Link to post
