Jill ferrets in heat

this is my first seasion at ferretingand could one of you's tell me is it through that if a jill is not brought out of heat she will die

or a vascetimised hob. its a good investment,but shop around the vets.some aremuch cheaper,and worth the extra miles.The jill can catch infections if left in season.

no she's not in heat yet .... i am just wondering for when they come in to heat

Do a search on the ferret forum, there is loads of info on here that will help you make a choice.

 

I have a vasectomised ( NOT castrated) hob, and he`s worth his weight in gold. I would never use the jab, but thats just my view

Each has there fault though rake the jill jab can cause hard lumps under the injection site with repeated use .and although a snipped hob is the easiest way my last two have died of testicular cancer and so have a few i heard about

you can also spay a jill, bit more expensive though, but can be worth it in the long run.
