My pup is a 6 month suluki bull x dog, and the other night [bANNED TEXT] walkin he neely got ran over by a lorry due to his ignorance , whenever I shout of him if he's in a open space he jus runs away , even if I have food he won't come next to me he jus barks and runs around and this cud go on for a hour or so , when I finally got my hands on him by a rugby tackle haha, I made shure he new he dun wrong , gave him a clip and slung him in run with no food, wat I need is a way of letting him know whenever I say come here he must come to me no matter what ,???any ideas " not the usual give hihim treats or fav toy coz been therew dun that nd didn't work, I need aw ay of letting him know I'm boss and there's consiquences if he does wrong ????

Don't think its the dogs ignorance that's to blame here.

U haven't got a clue about me or my capabilitys as a dog owner , I've trained my dogs great they do as I say [bANNED TEXT] I say and I know how to train and PLAY with my dogs , its jus this 1 pup he's very dominant , I wasn't asking for critasism I was asking for advice and tbh u sound like uve read a owners manual jus here same shit difrent day, not every dog is the same some rect well to praise and I know a lot that react better when there put in there place

 

Actually, looking at your previous topics will give people a good idea of your capabilities as a dog owner( Looks like you haven't owned many). And I mean that in the nicest way possible.

 

You can't expect to make a topic like this and not receive any criticism. Welcome to the internet.

 

I would take the advice you have been given and read, read, read. You are right, different dogs respond to different training techniques. Saluki's are renowned for not responding to a heavy hand. You have found that out. Back to the drawing board.

You need to bond.

 

When the bond is there he will want to be with you.

give the dog to some one who knows how to train it proper as at the moment the poor dog will be so mixed up slapping a 6 month old dog well done mate ffs as said give the dog away to some one who knows what they are doing and give the dog a chance and you go back to your to your games machines
