baw 4,360
You think more hunt now bull? I'd say a lot of guys I know moved on from dogs to other fields like fishing, shooting etc when the ban came in. I reckon shooting has went up but not dogs. Think back to the amount of dogmen you knew 20 years ago to now 1 Quote Link to post

Mud up to your waist. To wet for dogs to run properly and f**k all about. Mine got 2 runs on golf course, came close but not close enough. Called it a night. Also left wondering why we bother sometimes. Quote Link to post

baw 4,360
Good night on the lamp mate. Aye the numbers have dwindled bad. You never realized back then how good you had it. Only problem was finding somewhere to poach no other c**t was on lol. We used to travel a lot mate, early bells, walk some good land sat n Sunday mornings. Few hares, you were guaranteed a free beers, someone in the pub always wanted them. That was your weekend sorted. Changed days..... Price of fuel etc Quote Link to post
Chid 6,462
Here in Northern Ireland , every other household as a lurcher , you get some boys all they will hunt is fox come winter but during the summer they hit the rabbits like hell. I would say NI as the highest rate of lurchers per square foot of land Quote Link to post
