undisputed 1,664
I can't see how they are making 3 films out of a book that was just one book and much shorter than the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I've seen some reviews which say that it is very long winded indeed. Plus, from the clips I've seen, they have used a much older actor to play Bilbo than the reader is led to believe he was in the book. I'll wait until it comes out on TV! C'mon Penny anyone who knows hobbits knows Bilbo was in his late 30's when he went on his wee trip....it's not long winded but they have changed scenes from the book for artistic licence...really enjoyed it Edited December 18, 2012 by undisputed

chris k 205
cant see how they can make it into a trilogy. There was only 5 books altogether (the hobbit, lord of the rings, the 2 towers, return of the king and hobbit poetry) although the 5th one was wrighten by his son or something i think and was a load of crap. The hobbit was just ment to be a start to the lord of the rings (set a couple of 100 years before if i rember rightly) although its been bloody years since i last read them
baw 4,360
If they can get 7 rockys, 5 jaws, 27 007's I'm sure they can squeeze 3 films out of that door stopper of a book
baw 4,360
As for Danny champion of the world, class read that how I tried to catch pheasants with the bristles off my poor mums brush, through raisins
Neal 1,875
Usually, when a film is made which is based on a book, everybody moans about all the parts from the book which have been left out. Finally, someone actually tries to make a film of the entire book and what do we all do...?
