XXHunterXX 5
HI, here are some impressions from our new traps. Because of upcoming changes in hunting law we are preparing with some new kinds of traps. It takes quite a time to set it up. But hopefully it will do its job for a very long time (if we have chosen the right place ;-) ) Quote Link to post

XXHunterXX 5
Hows it work mate ? Atb On the last picture: You have got the metal frame. At both ends you have two sliders (vertical) which close the tubes. In an 90 ° angle each slider has got a round steel welded on where the slider will be hold in the upper position. Through the whole frame goes a round steel in the top where three "fingers" (round steels) are attached. Two at the end which hold um the sliders and on in the middle of the frame where the upper end of the see-saw is attached. In the middle of the frame you set up a metal construction similar to a see-saw on top of the frame. Then you place three concrete 30cm dia tubes on it. The tube in the middle sits on the see-saw and can tip to one side or the other. The upper round steel end is alined with the middle finger of the long round steel. When everything is setup, the fingers of the sliders rest on the fingers of the long round steel and because of that the middle finger of the long round steel presses against the upper end of the see-saw. You can adjust it quite good. You lure or put baits in the middle of the center tube. If a fox or marten wants go eat or even sniff at it the predator steps on one end of the center pipe, the see saw tips gives the finger on the long round steel free and the sliders fall down. The big advantage is that the predator doesn't have to eat the bait (what they only seldom do), or pull it away. Just the try to sniff at it (like dogs like to do it when there is some parcel of other dogs lying around ) he will be caught. Quote Link to post

Dead traps will be forbidden, partdiges will be closed etc. 1 Quote Link to post

XXHunterXX 5
So U catch it alive and kill it how? Different possibilities: 1. Wire trap (cage) where to predator goes inside when you open one slider (or you push him through) 1.1 Shoot him with a .22lfb 1.2. Shoot him with a shotgun You install a box with a Super X / Conibear trap and release the predator Quote Link to post
The one 8,463
It seems a lot of work are you not better just using wire cages like us ?. Quote Link to post
XXHunterXX 5
It seems a lot of work are you not better just using wire cages like us ?. Here in Bavaria we are not allowed to use wire cages, and also no snares, foot hold traps etc. I know snaring and those cages from a friend of mine in Spain. Thats why we have to use those monsters Quote Link to post
