Ben1 3 Posted December 16, 2012 Report Share Posted December 16, 2012 i have a terrier pup she is just over 3 months now, she is 100% with the ferrets and when i caught a rat yesterday to see her reaction she showed hardly no interest in the rat. Do you think being that used to the ferrets she may think she shouldn't kill rats or is she just still abit to young. Advice will be appreciated. Cheers Quote Link to post

mick81 275 Posted December 16, 2012 Report Share Posted December 16, 2012 I had I black rough haird pat dog , once from pup and from working parents , give it a live rat at 6 mth , Ne interest ? Took it out ratting any amout of times with the other dogs , still no interest , , tryed and tryed , but nowt , it had no interest in any sort of hunting , going to ground not a fecking chance , ended up giving it away to pet home , but yous is young so next few month give it a look might be they bit keener ?
