Otter Boarding

Recommended Posts

In days gone by, Otter Boarding was a skilled way of securing a good bag of Brown Trout, especially from hill lochs.

Has anyone 'out there' tried it?

Old fashioned designs were clumbersome and heavy, modern 'foldaway' boards are supreme and productive.

So my friend '

Jock the Lad' tells me.

Regards.

No fancy otterboards with me bud, even a bit of driftwood would suffice , provided an anchor line and baited mono lines could be attached.

Set it off downwind in spring , and those little loch brownies will catch themselves.

Alright as a way of survival catching but not much sport otherwise!

That's right not much sport and with dwindling numbers of game fish it's no good for the survival of the sport.

I am sure your book is worth a read to anyone who is intrested, you have had a fair bit of free advertising so far. So please stop spamming the boards now with your adverts for the book.
