Malt 379
Can't see a problem with it as long as its not in brine.. Even if it was I wouldnt have thought a little bit now and again as a treat would do them much harm if it was drained properly.. Quote Link to post

No mate, i give them about a tin every 2/3 weeks with abit of olive oil in it, just for something different and they have been fine. Although the crap dooes smell abit more but that gets taken out straight away anyway Edited December 15, 2012 by Stretch177 Quote Link to post
Brimmer 220
I sometimes get a bit of tuna into the dogs, (The old dog has a heart condition, got to help!) but it can make him fart something rotten! Should be ok i reckon. If not get it on your butties! Edited December 15, 2012 by Brimmer Quote Link to post
Stretch177 39
Brimmer yeah thats the only thing ive found is the crap smells, but the coats on both the ferrets and our German Shepherd have definately got an extra shine to them since ive started giving it too 'em Quote Link to post

The one 8,481
ive never feed them tuna but i buy sardines and mackerel tins for them once a month and the polish them off so cant see tuna being any different Quote Link to post
ferret100 47
Every now and then, mne get some tuna in sunflower oil, maybe I have a poor sense of smell, never really noticed stinky 'poo' from feeding it. Personally I'd avoid the brine tuna, a water rinse won't get rid of the absorbed salt in the meat which is really not good at all for ferts. Mine have had bits of fresh and cooked mackerel, tuna, salmon and trout. They do seem to enjoy fish but they only get the heads, tails, fins and scrap meat. A simple way to a sleek coat is Ferrets Formula, all natural and very useful, then you don't have to deal with smelly fish 'poo'. ATB. Quote Link to post
lurcherlad_2010 35
Feed my ferrets fish all the time mainly trout tho Quote Link to post
ferretville 69
Mine love tuna makes no difference if its in brine or spring water . Just squeeze as much of the excess spring water or brine out of the tin . Gives them a hell of shine to there coat . Quote Link to post
patterdalejoel 669
get it in your sarnies! too good for the ferrets! the ferrets will love anything, mine even devour crow! Quote Link to post
Brimmer 220
I'm asking a genuine question here, is the brine a problem for the ferrets something i have overlooked? Quote Link to post
