the farmers labx collie tagged along with us one day and that was marking well,even caught a bolter......it did hit a log first tho

Most dog will mark i agree. Ive bred a line of ferreters for generation short legged rough coated russel with a dash of spaniel, easy control, good on hedges with excellent nose.

they sound very handy digger. a lot of dogs give a fleeting mark, maybe only a turn of the head that can go unnoticed or your questioning was that mark ? what i like about the spaniel's marking is that its unmissable.
