Wheaten ,instead of bull

Hows that bull wheaten of yours getting on now l330 ?

He's coming on Gem,I took him out with the terriers on Sunday for the first time,he seen a bit but wouldn't class him as started yet,still like a big pup.

 

the bitchs from the litter are maturing a bit quicker alright ,he still want to play with the other dogs.

is it illegal to have wheaten in a field even though its not a banned breed????.

Is that a rhetorical question BigG ? Lets face it, if somebody was unfortunate enough to be pulled by the law out doing a days work with the dogs or even had a visit and there was that type off animal present with fresh signs off work, there would be alot off questions asked and likely repercussions. Whatever the case may be innocent or not it doesn't paint a great picture to the type off authorities that are out solely to stop hunting and anything related to it, I'd imagine the same people (whether police or RSPCA/Uspca) would take a hard-on at such a scenario. It may have something to do with the history off working wheaten terriers! Im sure the guy that put the picture up of that nice wheaten works his dogs within the law, though working wheatens will always be associated with one thing as you well know. the term "shit sticks" springs to mind. They were bred as draw dogs/holding dogs whatever you want to call it. Again, unfortunately new legislation has made that illegal on species that is legal to hunt. So people that love the bred may decide to work them along with hounds etc as stated above. That's their decision to make and I'm sure they are aware off the possible negativeness surrounded by the working wheaten for those reasons alone.

Even thou we all work our dogs with in the law,be it 10" russells to wheatens ,the authorities spured on by animal welfare groups will always hold people that work terriers with suspicion,But my dogs will never be in the situation to get me in trouble,but when you have arse holes like Danny 300 talking shite like he does , it will put people in that situation,
