steve_7 10
if theres talk about happening here then il put straight in for fac, i have sgc so a 410 for ratting, 20b hushpower for quiet times, on the look out for a game gun..... air rifles for close vermin control, at the first sign of any trouble of goes my fac application, sell 2 air rifles and get a long range powder burner.... i have 2 gamekeepers that will help me across the rocky road of fac... but how many others will be forced down this road of " well if i need a fac i might aswell have something more powerfull " yet really dont have the need for it and end up endangering people due to lack of knowledge and forced into getting fac, its certainly a worry, i believe theres a tool for each job...and no matter what the law is it wont stop scumbags hurting innocents with knifes, crossbows and any other household/diy tools..... removing pistols years ago never helped did it? just my thoughts guys 1 Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,589
If it becomes that much of a hassle for simple sub 12ft/lb air rifles, I'll go to using 17HMR and .22LR. The whole beauty of shooting an air rifle is how accessable it is without the need for licences and security/police involvement/hassle etc. So if that's what the Home office ends up demanding of us, we might as well have the full bore stuff in our cabinets and make it worth the while. secretagentmole 1,701
Unfortunately these days the policy makers leap on the nearest bandwagon that will guarantee them continued employment. Does not matter what reality is, soundbites make reality. In order to secure their employment they will sell everybody else's down the river and without a care as they are secure! Quote Link to post
