3 weeks of not smoking

Recommended Posts

Haven't beaten the wife/kids/dog yet and so far it's been fairly easy which is weird because the last time I was a stressed out nightmare.

I'm on the patches and this time decided not to throw out my tobacco because I figured that not having them would make me want it more. In the first week I would have a smoke if I really wanted one but since I'm wearing the patches I don't get anything from them...its just the habit. The last week I've hardly touched a fag and on the rare occasion I did I binned it after the first or second puff as they taste like shyte.

Also gave up the booze about 7 weeks ago...life it a bit more dull but I'm already hundreds of quid up :D

The missus is still smoking and when she comes in from having a fag outside she absolutely stinks LOL

Boringly

just found this. i'm just coming up to the year. stick with it. i started with patches and an inhilator i'm off the patches but still have my little puffer just as a dummy teat . but remember and

Well done! I managed about 5 months last time but I stupidly started again after a big piss up.. :( It's always in drink I start off again, not that I drink much..

That's why I stopped drinking first :(

There's no way I can stop one without the other.

Well done mate keep it up, when i really needed one I said to myself one fag will ruin all the grief I've gone through over the last few days, weeks, months. My tip, follow the full course of patches don't think you can bail out early and you've done with them I did that and failed several times. After that use the inhaler until ou don't need it anymore.

Really hope you get there, stopping is the best thing financially and for health reasons I have done

Been stopped now just over two years...

well done mate i gave up 11 months ago now had to give it up for health reasons not had a drink for 3 years feel alot better for it never in the shop now the money you save is not realput on 2 stone of wieght but needed that anyway keep going mate

Yeh its for my health mainly. I'm asthmatic so it is a bit stupid to smoke anyway and I take pills for my stomach which is made worse by smoking and drinking.

Give it a few more weeks and I'll turn in to one of those annoying anti smokers...."You smoke I choke"
