PJWmids 35
I could make another bracket and fit it to the end of the barrel before the foresight underneath, the cable from the battery is more than long enough. It won't be able to reflect back off anything then. Thanks for your thoughts Quote Link to post

ghillies 209
I thought about that but I have to use a generator for electric supply, so that's out the question. I was thinking of putting a few solar powered garden lights out, but not sure if they would produce enough light. Had a shoot last night, saw about 3, shot one, but then the others went to ground and didn't come back out. I made a bracket for my torch and mounted it to my scope, I've had it mounted at the back and front of the scope, but keep getting a white glare mark in my scope, I'm not sure if it's reflecting off the barrel or summat. It's bloody annoying. Any ideas on this anyone? I've lowered the power settings but still seem to get this glare/glow in the scopes. you'd be better off getting a proper solar set up.. all the garden lights i've witnessed are pritty chronic and only last a couple hours at most. theres a few of those sencer light things that trigger or come on after dark, but you'll need a few AA's and a charger for them.(6 led's ). some of the shed light salor things are ok. but the sencors might not be up to rat sized critters... so by the time you've folked out, tried and tested, may as well get a NV cam set up on the go. short range most stuff works to some degree, you'll be wanting a desent IR sourse.. cams dobr pick up it as bright as a intencifier, but, the cam wont burn out when some tworp shines a light on you.. i'm just playing with some small 20 quid cmos cam, pulled the IR filter off the sencor and seems pritty sprightly, 3.6-6 vole, i.e.5v... waiting on bits here n there to complete it, but the ir seems the biggy to me.. got to wait for a bulk order fund for some things to play with too, so after christmas january time i thnk before the glue n tubes come out for the grand over waited finish lol. i'm on s/h lap top batteries and a charger at the mo, theres cages with the pcp curcuit in them on ebay, only used one a few times so far but they havent broke yet, touch wood... it all come to he who waits they recon..ffffffff arghhhh lolol.. easiest route is get a DSA..cheepest i've seen is 30 quid...they only go up into the hundreds! the rest is tatting here and there for what you can get.. cant advse on ir torch's n stuff, i'm still playing with conversions and fed up of buying crappy super ace it leds.. osram and ledengines after christmas!..oh and finding a body/lens to put them in, i think i'm a bit behind the rest lol.
