I prefer a dig any day, dont get me wrong a bolt in some situations is better but i like a dog to keep the quarry busy and not give it the opurtunity to bolt. You can't beat a good dig!

sorry but WTF you cant be serious about releasing foxes thats a good way to be kicked off a farm if the farmer finds you releasing foxes to keep killing his lambs

@revmx. Fair play a tidy haul! But it seems to me like youre shooters more than dog men . I'm not putting your style of work down mate it obviously works for ya, but as a purest I prefer a dig IMHO

i know - some of the places round me are barren at the moment, its a shame isn't it

nothing sporting in my eyes-dropping foxes,rabbits at 100+yards with a rifle-try bolting a fox and bowling him over with a shotgun at 20 yards-that takes some skill-rather see the game flatout sunbathing at the side of the road than shot to f**k by the rifle brigade.

we always used to let some run for another day. that was the benefit of bolting into nets.

You'll find it's very common over here for quarry to be released to run for another day.
