easy to make slip leads

Alright lads for anyone who wants to make there own slip leads, its easy every one knows someone one with a sawing machine doesn't have to be anything the best machine, you can make loads from these of ebay and there cheap to make, this is just an example but if you want british just have a look around ebay http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=350666702511&index=4&nav=SEARCH&nid=55026519842

 

I'll try get an example up for you later there string and Will hold any dog.

Have you seen the price of the postage :icon_eek: it would be cheaper to buy a leather slip :D Edited by sniffer

I got 10 meters off ebay for £5 made 5/ 6 slips... as i made a doable one

Just out of interest mate, how did you make the double one, At the moment I use 2X SS slips with two of the loops round my wrist and then operate the other ends of the slips with two fingers in each. If works OK but would be interested to hear how you did it incase its better

Probably a little bit easier than the way i do it at the moment then

I use them to..all made out that one bit, and 1 spare

I got four 6ft, six 5 ft 1 double slip 3ft each slip and two 3ft slips in green all for a spool that cost a tenner and the spool of nylon thread a pound in my local sawing shop.

 

Sniffer that was an example mate ;)

do you lads run dogs with or without collars? cheers

 

i do with my older dog, but can work him of the slip ,so suppose dont need the collar on all the while, not had a collar on my pup yet , so prob work with out one when he is older , just use a rope lead with him for now,but most times he is loose . :yes:
