If it IS true it's a disgrace because it means there is special treatment reserved for one section of society and if it ISN'T true it's still a disgrace because someone is trying to cause resentment toward that section of society. So it appears that these are not "rules" for Bedfordshire police specifically but a rewording of "guidlines" issued by the National Association of Chief Police Officers to all police forces, and while there is a cursory mention toward the end regarding respectful treatment of all other faiths and beliefs, muslim customs and practices are the only ones specifically addressed in the main body of the advisory text.

It's often easier to dismiss something out of hand........ or to swallow it hook line and sinker........ but a little digging, thanks to Paids link, reveals that the truth lies somewhere in between!
