Heat lamp power use

Are you on a card meter Tomo. If so I think they are set at a slightly higher rate?. I've just wired mine through a stat this week and they click on and off through the day.

ive got one of these in kennel 27 quid from argos 120 watt i think the bulb is. Its a pipe heater for a green house bud no lamp in it there very cheep to run

I think it depends on the bulb,,, remember the one I'm using right now is 100 wat,,, if there using a 250 like i was then there's going to be a big difference, and remember 40 p is 280 a week, you could proberbly double that at least on a bigger bulb,, making at around 6 pound a week ,,, times that by 12 is 72 pound on top of your regular bill

just showed my misses this , shut her up moaning about how much they cost lol, but thats not bad considering alot of elec meters switch to the high rate at night [ after about 10] then back to the low rate during the day , thanks for sharing
