I have only tried 4 moderators. the best was a HW mod. 2. BSA VC Mod. 3. WhisperMod 4th AA Mod. certainly other good ones are made by Swift, twink,marksman,and meybe one or two more I can only say what I have tried.

totaly agree bustie,but i tink we have more chance of finding ROCKING HORSE SHIT,than finding a nut shot.the man is harder to find than LORD LUCAN.

The r10 I had, had a x3 on it shot quiet after i had to alter the baffles...

As Buster say's,

Nutshot Custom Carbon Mod and i'm lucky to have one on the Rapid MK 2 And the New Long series

one on the Other Rapid ain't Bad either for a Factory standard one, it's just a little better than the HW.

I have the shrouded model .177 Mk2 , got a Sak mod on which is shorter than most and buts up nicely to the shroud , however its not as quiet as I would like so am wondering whether to get the dedicated R10 VC one or remove the shroud ( know the barrel wont be threaded ) and fit adapter and HW Mod or better ?

 

Correction , just took the shroud off and the barrel is threaded .

 

Checked it with the shroud off and Sak attached direct to barrel and not as quiet as with shroud/Sak mod on .

I've got a modified hogan decimeator with hw style internals.

So quiet i sometimes can't tell if I've pulled the trigger or not..........

 

Due to larger internal volume its quieter than my hw. Only after playing though. Hw, swift or whisper will see you right

It was originally if i remember correctly, but i chose it as it has a larger internal volume and started from scratch with the internals .

The hw is my favourite out of the box but i fancied making my own
