Giro 2,648
No sorted it with shock collar.. But i did try over several weeks before going down that route. This dog took a flogging and would pile back in, Straight away. It was just wagging its tail, dog was f*****g mental Worst of it it knew it was wrong.. I had it to a point where it would walk to heal of the lead but was dying to wack one.. If it ran a rabbit and missed it would chase a sheep on the way back. Or jumping a gate it was just that bit in front it would take off on them.. To muck of a risk but the collar cured it 100% , it had me cracking up 1 Quote Link to post

Giro 2,648
Yeah still have it, bought a Sportdog collar.. only used it few times.. Kept it on for a while tho just in case but never used it again.. It really is water proof this same stupid dog went across a river wearing it for a swan never wanted to sap her in the water tho for safety reasons. I really tried with mine for almost two months before I got the collar.. I even had a friend try the dog a few times. Quote Link to post
FUJI 17,288
It's at an age now where it knows it can run and it wants to chase!...some can be rectified from chasing them and then some can only be rectified by a trip to the vets or the landowners shotgun lol...hope everything turns out ok for you..Atb Andy Quote Link to post

baw 4,360
Total nightmare. Until my last dog I'd have blamed you but now I'm not so sure. All dogs are different, good luck Quote Link to post
broonball 38
Sometimes the punishment is worth the crime. I had a sheep farm on my doorstep I walked for a year when I first got pup. She was fine up until around the same age, she chased sheep 3 times.never wanted to tackle 1 just enjoyed the chasing.twice it was a stubborn ewe who would not move from a gate. Each time she did it I really beat her, not that I advocate it but needed to be done. I did not leash her going through them just kept a constant verbal warning. After 3 lashings she never looked at them again.I was lucky as I spoke to the farm family almost daily and had an unspoken agreement, I told them each time she had chased them rather than somebody else grassing me up.I also made a point of reporting, newborn lambs or nackered ewes. Keeping the dog leashed just made her more wired when I finally let her off.hope you get sorted atb 1 Quote Link to post
