Saturn, Venus and mercury

Look south east early morning about 5 ish. Bright planets left of the moon! They are visible before this, but thats when I am up and out!!

The only joke about the moon I can think of, revolves around a song "Blue Moon"!!

Is there anything that sets them apart from the rest?

A few million miles probably

I find it amazing the amount of other planets we are finding around distant stars. Its only a matter of time before we find the one Lab came from, with the other gingers.

jupiter is easy to spot.brightest star in the sky.no doubt malt or born will be along to say thats not entirely correct! lol

When you get a clear night in an unspoilt part of the country, the amount of stars is breathtaking. Best I've seen was around aviemore, makes you feel very small. I used to love watching the satellite

What do we look for?

im not clued up on planets but at a guess I'd say 3 Round Things !

Not to clue'd up on much else by the sounds of it

Your right there , though I think when looking for Planets Anything Round and above your head (outside preferably) and you won't go far Wrong ;)

That's about the extent of my knowledge too though worth a look

definetly , remember a few yrs ago maybe 10 , there was I think an Eclipse they call it , well the Sun was blocked by the moon in the day and it went dark for a bit , strange watching it !

Kay, as Malt says, Venus is the brightest of the three, but depending on the time of night, will depend on where it is I am guessing.
