2.8 guy 403 Posted December 16, 2012 Report Share Posted December 16, 2012 I do alot for the keeper i have permission from, helping out before the shoot starts, used to give bottles of whisky ect, then he told me once that one of the guns gives him a couple of bottles of wine each year, nice gesture i thought then he tells me some was worth 600 pound a bottle So charity shops with shooting/ wildlife plates picks ect was up at his house this weekend and another ferreter has gave him the most beautiful jack russel pup, so been out done this year lol its the gift that keeps on giving, hope it chews his best boots I was going to offer one of my lurcher pups this year too Quote Link to post

I get given a few tipples of the strong stuff on some of my permissions which is a problem after a few because it takes longer to get my nets down. Must admit it must be fun for the land owner when I am trying to catch the loose one which escapes the net. Maybe thats why they treat me! ha ha. I think the other reasons are because when I am out on the land I always keep an eye out for the landowner. Quote Link to post
