Ferrets how to get them to work !

Ferreting I out nets on and so on get my ferret out and put him down he is straight in turns around back out ? And I have seen meany ferrets work fir long under ground and pop up in most warrens ? Any I dears ? Or it is cuz they need taking to get used to it ?

Maybe theres nothing in there,or if there young ferrets try and use a experianced ferret to let them follow.They only need to meet one to start them.

Failing that blow smoke in there face to make them angry

When out mooching with the Fert try and see a rabbit pop down a bury, then you know its there, keep trying, and has been said it will eventually click.

Are they bred from a good working strain?

Ive got a wee albino hob bred as a pet from non working parents and he works well and on the other hand ive got a wee polecat jill purpose bred tried her a few times and she wont enter think its just luck of the draw like anything you get good ones and not so good ones

Can you try it with a older experienced ferret ?.

Don't force the ferret to ground, it will Go when its ready, often best to let them have a look around on a warren and let them enter the hole they want rather than the one you select.

Just chill I am sure it will happen a high percentage of ferrets work to some degree.

get somes tubes or pipes in the hutch for him to explore, as a post above get him to follow an experienced ferret, he will get the hang of it

mate im ten mins away i inboxed ya if ya need advice ile put ya in contact with my mate he is a very educated lad when it comes to ferreting
