Ronnie Barker is one of my comedy idols, not only was he a great sketch artist he was also a very talented comic actor and writer. His comic timing is spot on, just watch any episode of Porridge or the Two Ronnies. Tommy Cooper was another very funny guy, had a comedic presence if such a thing even exists! He didn't even have to do much to have you in a fit of laughter, just walking on the stage was enough.
